Dada Bhagwan’s Vision for Mahavideh Nagar Society
 
In 1984, Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan came to Los Angeles, California and stayed at Arunbhai and Pushpaben’s house. One day during Satsang, he mentioned he had a vision of three different societies being built in Surat behind Mahavideh Tirthdham, Kamrej.

2. Mumbai Society
3. Ahmedabad Society
 
Dada had given a promissory note to the landowner. He had a vision that NRI Mahatmas would spend the later years of their life at the NRI Society to help focus on their spiritual goals. He advised to keep a comfortable lifestyle so their children would come visit them, hopefully inspiring their peers.
 
Param Pujya Kanudadaji and Param Pujya Manharba conducted a Bhumi Pujan of the NRI Society land. When NRI Society homes were completed PP Kanudadaji visited every single house and blessed the owner mahatma and the residence by reciting Trimantra five times.
 
Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan visited the land of all three societies. He lifted up his dhoti and pushed up the barbed wires on the fence to visit each parcel. He dug and scraped the land with a pick mattock to bless it.
 
Dada wisely discussed greed advising Mahatmas not to chase money their whole life. Be cautious of getting into the cycle of trying to double, triple, or quadruple already existing financial stability. Before settling into the NRI Society Dada advised parents to settle their children with ample love, support, and stability before making physical distance between them and moving away to India. He envisioned Mahatamas pursuing their spiritual path while living at the society. He envisioned them experiencing and catching glimpses of their ultimate inner goals.
 
The NRI Society was built for NRI (USA) Mahatmas. Dada asked that the price of the homes be sold at cost value.
 
Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan asked Vasantbhai to write down names of mahatmas interested in purchasing homes in the NRI Society. It started with 48 names, then it increased to 55, and finally there were 70 names during Dadaji’s presence. Eventually, due to the excitement of concept 90 mahatmas signed up for homes in the NRI Society.
When the Bhumi Pujan was done 63 mahatmas had signed up and eventually when construction started 53 mahatmas built their homes in NRI Society.
